"Academic Unit Managers Workshop" was Organized at Gazi University

The ‘Academic Unit Managers Workshop’, which was arranged by the Institution  of Research and Development Coordinatorship, was organized. The issues on 'Situations of National and International Collaborations and Suggestions for Improvement'  were discussed. Within the scope of subtitles; issues of current situations of both our Universtiy and units, weaknesses and strenghts, ways of collaborations between units, improvement suggestions were discussed.

The workshop was organized in two separate sessions and four separate groups. Institution of Research and Development Coordinatorship, Project Coordination Implementation and Research Center, Directorate for Revulving Fund Management,  Technology Transfer Office Inc. , Education and External Relations Coordination Office, Coordinatorship of Social Affairs Institution, Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit, Academic Writing Application and Research Center, Career Planning Application and Research Center gave support with their attendancy.

Our Rector Prof.Dr.Musa Yıldız made the opening speech of the program which started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem at the Gazi Education Faculty Hersek Building.

Prof.Dr Musa Yıldız stated that they are organizing "Productivity Meetings" and "Research University Observation Meetings" in order to establish an effective management system in accordance with strategical goals of our University. What is more, he said that "This is the first time we are organizing this workshop which will be something like a search conference and I hope that we reach common solutions in order to achieve better in very important topics." Furthermore, he said "We will continue to search common mindset towards different topics in the next months.”

Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız mentioned that Gazi University was founded 96 years ago. He said the following:  "In the next era, our activities, which are being performed in harmony with our "continuous improvement" approach, will be analyzed under the scope of Institutional Accreditation Program by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council. In the process, we will accomplish our preparations in a comprehensive way with the support of the Quality Commission, and we will make up for our deficiencies by implementing the Gazi University Quality Improvement Plan.”

Our Rector is Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız concluded his speech with the following words: “While concluding my speech, I await the units,which are behind the expected aims, from this day forward to create unit action planing and I am expecting that realizing the planned goals by following them one by one and on time instead of just writing to the sub-units. What is more, I am expecting that you  follow the activities in the Institutional Accreditation Program Preparation Document meticulously. I sincerely believe that we will continue to work together devotedly without getting tired. Gazi University will continue to make reputiton with the education it provides, projects, national and international business associations and social contribution studies.

After the speech of our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız, Vice Rector Prof.Dr. Ramazan Bayındır declared the performance of our Academic Units for the first 6 months within the scope of 2022 targets and our project application performance according to their types with the presentation titled "R&D Roadmap of our University."

Thereafter the following Presentations were made; “TEYDEB's Numerical Datas on Gazi University,”  by Dr. Hasan Selçuk Selek who is Vice President of TÜBİTAK-TEYDEB, “Process Transfer related with Academician Invitations from Abroad” by Prof.Dr. Süleyman Tekeli who is Dean of Technology Faculty, "Process and Experience Transfer about on Accreditation Issues" by Prof.Dr. Bilal Güneş who is an academic evaluator of Turkish Higher Education Quality Council titled  and "The Purpose of the Workshop and it's Running, Expectations”  by Prof.Dr. Gonca Çakmak who is the Coordinator of R&D Institution. After the speeches, Academic Unit Managers executed the workshop sessions. The workshop was succesfully concluded with representation of the final report by obtaining important determinations and suggestions.
